“Financial Justice for All: Empowering Black Tenants and Families”,

This program is designed to deliver tailored, culturally responsive financial empowerment programming in Regent Park and other underserved communities across Toronto. This initiative directly targets Black communities, low-income residents, people, with disabilities, and tenants.

Program Description

Year-round financial literacy workshops on tax filing, credit management, budgeting. In-person financial coaching to support navigating debt and managing financial stress. Education on pathways to first-time homeownership for Black and newcomers. Peer-led storytelling to reduce stigma and raise awareness of financial tools and public supports. Mentorship and coaching supports to promote long-term financial confidence and intergenerational wealth building. Inclusive, trauma-informed service design, co-created with local residents and community champions.
