Mental Health Diversion Support
What is mental health diversion? Mental health diversion involves a way of resolving or dealing with criminal charges through mental health assessment and support services.
Program Description
F.L.E.S.H provides supports to individuals with mental health challenges who have been charged within a low-risk criminal offence. These individuals would be better served by the mental health system. Services offered are diversion from the criminal justice system to the mental health system, assessment of the need and development of a recovery centred court diversion plan.
Our tailored programs integrate financial literacy and entrepreneurship into mental health diversion initiatives to support individuals navigating the criminal justice system. By addressing financial stressors at critical stages such pre-sentencing, post-sentencing, and reintegration we help individuals develop the skills to manage their finances, explore entrepreneurial opportunities, and build a sustainable future. These programs promote rehabilitation, reduce recidivism, and empower individuals to reintegrate into society with confidence, unlocking pathways to mental health recovery, financial stability, and entrepreneurial success.
